They have always liked the Torbay area, and when I came across Vomero Apartments with views overlooking the sea and near to the town centre harbour and restaurants. I thought they would be suitable, especially as the Venezia apartment is located on the ground floor and fully accessible for people with mobility issues.
Booking was easy via their web site and Louise and Sean kept us fully updated with information.
Upon arrival we were personally greeted and shown around the apartment, which was very well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The gardens are stunning, with extra seating on the lawns.
As we were leaving my parents to their own devices, Louise re-assured us that if there were any problems, she would contact us, which was a lovely gesture.
My parents had a wonderful time away and we can’t recommend Louise & Sean highly enough.
Genova 1 bedroom Apartment
A peach of a house, close to the harbour/marina in Torquay
On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Sean & Louise, who showed us around, but then for the rest of the visit gave us privacy and avoided being intrusive.
The house is a peach, a real pleasure, with loads of Victorian character. It is clearly well maintained and has some beautiful gardens. We stayed in the Genova Apartment, which has a large recently decorated living room leading onto the balcony with views across the bay towards Paignton and Brixham. A kitchen and a dining area complement this, with plenty of kitchen utensils crockery cutlery etc.
The large bed was comfortable and the bedding provided was substantial and clean. The shower was effective but decidedly bijou!!
The house and apartment were extremely clean and it was apparent that Sean and Louise took great care to make it immaculate.
Location wise it’s a twenty minute walk down to the harbour/marina, but does involve walking back up hill. The harbour/marina has plenty of places to eat with a mixture of better quality restaurants and fast food places, pubs wine bars and cafes. Definitely a location to visit, with walks and views across the Bay.
We really enjoyed our visit to Vomero Apartments and Torquay and can easily recommend.

We’ve stayed in 3 of the 5 apartments at Vomero Holiday Apartments, my husband and I disagree on a fave, I love the quaintness of Roma, small but perfectly formed with everything you could possibly need for a happy holiday. He prefers the stunning views and outside space of Vomero.
This visit was in Vomero and 12 months since our last stay, the view over the bay takes away your breath as you step outside…be warned it’s south facing, a true suntrap.
Louise and Sean continue to be welcoming and considerate hosts, available if you need them but not intrusive. We asked for eating recommendations this time, previously using the well-equipped kitchen (we enjoy cooking). Suggestions included Steak night at Ollies, which was delicious. Unfortunately, Legends was closed for a holiday and No 7 was fully booked for our stay. Next visit we’ll be booking well in advance at all their recommendations.

The kitchen was well equipped, we didn’t cook during our stay but if we had chosen to everything was available.
The apartment is quiet and has a lovely high view over the bay which can be enjoyed from within the room or balcony which is fitted out with quality furniture and sun beds.
Vomero house is central to lots of small towns and attractions, we didn’t have to go too far to enjoy a day out. It is on a rather long hill from town but you can park at the bottom if you can’t or don’t want to walk and there’s always the option of getting a taxi.
In the room there is an information folder covering the house etiquette and useful details including local attractions, restaurants, takeaways, taxis and even health services.
The owners, Louise & Sean are friendly but not intrusive and have a lovely place for anyone to have a good relaxing holiday. We will recommend it and would stay again.
