Sean and Louise would like to welcome you to Vomero, our home and family holiday business. We are very fortunate to have lived within such a beautiful Victorian villa since November 2019, a house full of rich history and abundant character; we look forward to sharing it with you soon.

We have five beautiful and individual self-catering holiday apartments in an 1838 Grade II listed Italian Style Victorian villa in South Devon. Torquay is at the heart of the English Riviera, making it an ideal location for a holiday, or base to explore Devon and Cornwall.

Our sixth apartment is newly available for Summer 2024 – our luxury penthouse at the top of the house! This will be adult only accommodation due to it’s location for up to four guests. The Penthouse will be more a luxury holiday flat than an apartment with a huge outside sun deck with absolutely stunning views overlooking the bay. The Penthouse has two double bedrooms with fully fitted wardrobes, a separate full kitchen, bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower and a large comfortable lounge and dining area. The lounge bifold doors enable you to bring the outside in, or the inside out, ensuring you enjoy the beautiful views both day and night. Relax outside on the sun deck sunlougers, or just chill on the outside rattan lounging and dining furniture. All enquiries for stays in The Penthouse welcome.

Vomero has had several historic residents including Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1848 and Haile Selassie in 1935 whose families took pleasure in the historic grandeur, impressive mahogany staircase and stunning stained glass windows.

Offering you home-from-home comforts, we hope Vomero will soon feel like your second home. Going above and beyond to ensure you have everything you require, for the holiday you deserve.

Located a short walk down to the harbour, shops and seafront Vomero is perfectly located for relaxing beach days, dining out, or drinks overlooking the bay.

Within an acre of beautifully maintained tiered gardens, our guests have full use of the grounds, garden seating, dining areas and gas barbecue. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity after a day out exploring Torbay, Devon or Cornwall. Vomero is quiet and secluded, the perfect escape and change of scenery from everyday life.

All apartments have a southerly aspect ensuring Vomero is a real sun trap! Upstairs apartments all enjoy exceptional garden and sea views with private balconies. Downstairs, Venezia has a private covered terrace with direct access into the gardens.

With such stunning views Vomero has to be high up on the hill, we are located at the top of ‘Stitchill’ Road, named for a reason! A very pleasant 10 minute stroll down into town but we don’t pretend it is not challenging on the way back up! Great for burning off dinner, easier when you’ve had a drink or two but if your not up for the walk back up it is sometimes easier just to jump in a local cab, numbers are available in our reception hall and your apartment!! Most make the walk down and back up but this is certainly the better option for those less able, or more elderly.

Family block booking are available subject to availability, Vomero can comfortably sleep 21 family members, no single large group bookings accepted other than family groups.
